Personality: Always a smile on his face, Sora is a patient and calm person on the outside. He offers advice when he feels like someone needs it, and he listens to others before he speaks himself. Though he seems sweet and tries to keep calm and respect others, behind that smile hides an intense anger problem that only seems to flair up when his twin sister is in trouble/insulted. Otherwise, you're more likely to catch him saying something snarky and snappy to someone if they irritate him, all with a smile and a soft tone as if to soften the blow.
From a young age, Sora dreamed of being a celebrity. Tragedy ended up being what brought that dream to light.
He grew up in a family of four, his mother and father, him, and his twin sister Miyako. His mother is Native American, raised and born on their reservation. Her father was white, but he chose to stay with her mother for it was where she had been raised as well. His mother, Skye Edwards, wanted to raise her own children where her family lived, on her reservation in Washington, but their father wanted to move somewhere warmer and closer to achieve celebrity status with his children like California.
His father is named Yasu Hiro. A fisherman who loves the sea more than almost anything, he was offered a chance to intern in America on a huge fishing boat with a huge crew. That's where he met Skye, and decided to make his internship into a full career. He worked on getting a VISA, but after countless arguments about where to live permanently for years to come it proved to be a waste.
When Sora was just thirteen, his parents divorced, and his sister was taken with his father back to where his family lived in Okinawa. Why his sister specifically? She tended to be the one who went on fishing trips with their father, and she was a lot more interested in learning Japanese as a child. (It took Sora a few years on his own to get fluent enough for him to finally make his own move there.)
Determined to see his sister again, Sora trained and practiced for years on end until he was finally able to save up enough to move to Japan. From there, he performed on street corners, then in coffee shops, then small venues. It wasn't enough for him, though. His name wasn't big enough to reach his sister. So, desperate for fame, he takes a deal with a demon named "Beezy" to give him instant fame.
He's joined Beezy's "record label", and the cost for his deal has yet to rear it's head.
THE CEO
Beelzebub (Beezy)
A demon who works directly under the ceo of the underworld. CEO LUCY, as they call him, runs the underworld using music as his power. He has the underworld separated into factions, each with different levels of powers depending on how popular they are. They have humans on Earth who work for them, basically they have bets on this human in return for something they want. Their human then is granted with some special benefits -- naturally more charming, confident, and able to get attention. The more fame the star gets, the more power the demon gets.
Demons are greedy, and often fight over factions and try to take them over. There's no rule against it, but it makes things a lot more tense. Beezy started as LUCY's second hand but got too sloppy -- he was depromoted and has to start from scratch. That's when he sees Sora, a budding artist getting desperate for fame. He took that as a great chance and offered Sora what he wanted. Sora took it, longing to see his sister again, and the contract was sealed.
